My Weight Loss Success with 12 Weeks to Wow by Sue Foster

I’ve been following the12 Weeks to Wow  programme and guidelines since July 2015.

I have not been the fastest of losers but I have lost just over 5 stone so far and would ideally like to lose another stone to get to where I want to be.

I have found that since I started following the programme my confidence has taken a massive boost for the better. I still get my odd days where things get me down, but I am now able to pick myself up, brush myself off and get back on track much quicker than I used to. Before starting the programme I was never able to pick myself up again and found myself continuing on that big downward spiral.

I find that listening to the hypnosis very night really helps me focus on where I want to be. I work as a conference consultant which means I am sitting at a desk the whole ay 5 days a week. We also get what we call lunch drops where the hotels bring in food a couple of days a week and very nice food it is too!

I used to eat until I could eat no more when they came in, but now I eat a lot more mindfully and can control what I eat much better. I still hear the words of “eat like a slim fit healthy person”, and tell myself that even they have bad days, so if I do go off track slightly I don’t punish myself as it is a one off every now and then whereas before I would go of track and stay off track.

The Facebook Support Group is great because we all help each other and I am now a Gold Member which means I have been recognised for my input and understanding of the programme. It also helps to post progress photos onto the group as the lovely compliments keep you going and it is also an inspiration for other members too.

I am proud of myself for coming this far and believe that I should treat myself for good behaviour. So I now have a beautiful wardrobe of brightly coloured clothes which also includes dresses, which were never part of my wardrobe in the past.

I have struggled with my weight since my mid-twenties and I had started another diet about a year before my 50th, I lost a lot of weight but by the time I was 50 it had all gone back on plus more.

As this isn’t a diet but a way of life there is no need to say “I’ve lost all my weight so now I can go back to normal eating” because that ‘normal eating’ was what got me to be overweight in the first place.

By re-educating the way I eat and the things that I eat my lifestyle is so different now to what it used to be and I am in a much happier place.

I know that I will be slim for my 60th next January. My next mission is to start running, this is something I have always wanted to do but have never been able to as my ankles and knees are weak. I know I will do it eventually as I don’t give up as easily as I used to do and have so much more confidence. Thank you Sue and James for bringing this app into my life, I couldn’t have done it without both of you.

If you are just starting out with 12 Weeks to Wow my top tip would be to follow the guidelines and don’t punish yourself if you make the odd unhealthy choice every now and then.  Just make sure it’s not too often. X
